A month ago, Dove published a video on Youtube about real beauty and now it has become the most viewed advertisement video ever with more than 114 million views in 25 languages.
The video
is basically a forensic artist who has worked with the FBI, Gil Zamora, asking
women to describe themselves physically, then there women are described by
outsiders who have been watching her. In the end, both portraits are compared
and the differences are amazing.
With this,
the company wanted us to take note that we are not always as we are seen, that
we try to search for complexes that don’t exist.
“The
campaign evoked an emotional reaction on millions of people to inspire them to
share a positive message”, said Fernando Machado, the vice-president of Dove
Skin. “Beyond the millions of views, the testimonies from people around the
world is what excite us”
